As you know I kind of fell into vertical running last year by doing the Step Change 2010 challenge and running up the Gherkin. I am taking a step up this year and taking up 2 vertical challenges in 4 days.

First on the list is the Vertical Rush on March 3rd (part of the Vertical World Circuit) which takes me up to the top of the Tower 42  - 183m above the City skyline and 'only' 920 steps from the start line. The slightly taller brother of the Gherkin (which follows only 3 days later on the 6th of March) will be a great warm up for me to try and beat my last year's results.

Vertical Rush is being organised by Shelter the housing and homelessness charity. They help fighting homelessness and bad housing issues by giving advice, information and advocacy to people in housing need, and by campaigning for lasting political change to end the housing crisis for good.

Please help me help them do their job well.
