Residents and staff  are taking part in the 11/11 challenge to raise money for the Royal British Legion, and pledge to complete 11 different challenges. We will: 

• Knit 11 poppies
• Sew 11 felt poppies
• Create a poppy wreath with 11 knitted poppies 
• Our Manager, Sharon, will cycle to 11 war memorials in Oxford and present one knitted poppy at the first 10 and our poppy wreath at the final destination - The Marston memorial 
• Take 11 different residents on socially distanced scooter rides 
• We will walk around the garden with 11 different residents 
• Read 11 different war poems during our Book Club 
• Sing 11 different war time songs 
• Paint or draw 11 poppy pictures for our Poppy day display 
• Two members of staff have pledged to lose 11lbs each by November 11th - (just on time for challenge number 11!)
• Bake 11 cakes for our remembrance day coffee morning on 11th November 

We will also be selling knitted and felt poppies in the care home so please ask at the office if you would like one of these. All proceeds will go to the Royal British Legion.
