Like many people my family has been affected by cancer. I'm a bit of a masochist when it comes to running:  Having got the "Marathon bug" with the 2010 Brighton Marathon I was keen to take part in 2011 and it seemed a natural thing to take advantage of the occasion to raise funds for what I know is such a worthwhile charity. 

Aside from the feeling of doing some good for people affected by the impact of cancer, it also means I'll have a stylish vest to wear on the day and look more "professional" like my mate Stew in the picture!
