Story
Ben Nevis is Scotland's highest Munro at a massive 1,345m / 4,412ft high. This is Scottish Adventure Cycling's 'Nevising Challenge' where we are challenging you to cycle during the month of October either: 1x Ben Nevis (1,345m / 4,412ft) 5x Ben Nevis' (6,725m / 22,060ft) 10x Ben Nevis' (13,450m / 44,120ft) By the very nature of adventure cycling in Scotland, sometime it can all go wrong and we need to call on the Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance. Scotland’s Charity Air Ambulance is Scotland’s only charity-funded air ambulance service. They rely on public support to keep flying and responding to time-critical emergencies wherever they occur in Scotland. From their bases in Perth and Aberdeen they can reach 90% of Scotland’s population within 25 minutes, providing a vital lifeline to communities all over the country. We hope it's a service we never need to use but we know that they are ready to help us if required. To say thank you and to help SCAA remain flight-ready, we are raising money and awareness for the Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance with our 'Nevising Challenge' in throughout October 2021. We challenge you to: 1) choose your height (you can add this to your Just Giving page title) 2) set up your Just Giving page (connected to our page) 3) From October 1st - 31st get climbing!! Indoors or outdoors, it doesn't matter and you can keen track of your progress on Strava / Komoot / Garmin Connect 4) Tag us in your photos on social media so we can share your story with everyone.
