Story

To support Stroke Awareness Month in May 2024 I ran 200 miles in May and raised £500 for Buzz Bingo's charity partnership with Stroke Association.

This was a huge task coming back from a long term injury that kept me from exercise for almost a year. Now I've got the bug again!

So I've decided to go a few steps further... I've committed to running my first marathon for a very long time. In October I'll be doing the Lisbon Marathon for Stroke.

No rest for the wicked though... a few weeks before Lisbon I found out I've secured a charity place at London Marathon in April 2025.

So 200 miles in May for #StrokeAwareness Month 2024

Lisbon Marathon for #WorldStrokeDay in October 2025

And London Marathon just ahead of #StrokeAwarenessMonth in April 2025

Why Stroke?

Buzz Bingo and Stroke Association are rebuilding lives after stroke, one dab at a time. Buzz has pledged support of the Stroke Association through a dedicated three-year partnership, to help tackle the social isolation and loneliness felt by stroke survivors. So far we've raised over £120,000 for Stroke Association and NHS Stroke Association Connect.
