Story

Thanks for making it this far!

Having last run the GNR half marathon as a teenager in 1997, I’ve brought the trainers back out again to help raise some funds for a great cause at the same time as attempting to prove that I’m still up to the challenge. I can promise you, the training is not as easy this time around – a lot more aches and pains!!

Did you know that one in three people over 65 will die with dementia? Dementia is also more than just memory loss; it robs people of their lives and has a huge impact on families and loved ones.

The Alzheimer's Society supports people to live well with dementia today and funds research to find a cure for tomorrow. Having seen at close hand the work of the Alzheimers Society during Mum's illness - I can't speak highly enough for the work they do. Both the information and the emotional support that they provided to Mum and the rest of us was amazing and a huge help to all of us through what was a very difficult time.

The society relies on voluntary donations to continue their vital work.

Anything you can donate will be gratefully received and provide the motivation to keep going!

You can find much more information on the Alzheimer’s Society at: www.alzheimers.org.uk

Thanks everyone!
