Story

Thanks for visiting mine and Rupert Blake's fundraising page. Well, we did it. Finished in 4.75 hours. Photo left to prove it. Thanks to everyone who sponsored us and those visiting now to add to the total. We believe overall the team has raised over £3,000. Will keep you posted.

Last year Rupert and I rode the London to Brighton Bike Ride with Nic Birch and raised £1,000 between us for the British Heart Foundation. This year 13 work colleagues and friends from the Newhaven ERF Hochtief construction site ( British, German, and South African as named above) have volunteered to join us to get fit or at least fitter, have a, hopefully, enjoyable but tiring day out, and in the process raise some money for a very worthwhile cause.

We would be really pleased and grateful if you would donate even the smallest sum to sponsor us in this year's ride. Thanks!  :-)

From a personal point of view Mark would like to dedicate this year's ride to his late friend and work colleague, Keith Pearson, who was a General Foreman on a number of construction sites over the years who died from a heart attack some time ago, but still provides many fond memories of some very enjoyable times together.
