Story
I'm running Royal Parks Half Marathon in October (http://www.royalparkshalf.com/) and at the same time I'll be raising money for the charity "Action for M.E." (http://www.afme.org.uk/)
I chose that charity for the simple reason that I once had the affliction that is M.E. for about 8 years and it was a bloody nightmare. I couldn't walk to the shops at the end of the street without stopping off for a nap on the way, my muscles would ache for days if I was to do anything more strenuous than lifting an egg and my mind was permanently blunted, I wandered around in a thick fog of confusion for years. I had a thoroughly depressing and frustrating time and it seemed the misery would never end but eventually it did. Now I'm able to run about like a caffeine fuelled gazelle so it makes sense that I would celebrate my full recovery by raising money for those whose lives are blighted by the horrendous M.E.
Please donate what ever you can, every penny will be massively appreciated. Actually, make that every pound, don't start donating in pennies, it'll take forever.
many thanks,
mark
