Story
Challenge: Rob Burrow Leeds Marathon 2023.
Hi, I started running during the first Lockdown just to try and stay active, I've always tried to keep reasonably fit but I’ve never been a natural runner. After awhile I got the 'bug' and enjoying being outside in the fresh air. I've never run any race prior to this marathon, so I suppose I'm 'in at the deep end' a little.. Training at present is going well, I've had a few 'bumps in the road' with injuries on the way, but hopefully going to plan. I'm running this marathon with my son Matt who is also raising funds for MNDA which is fantastic, we have vowed to stick together and 'god willing' we will complete the race.
The Charity: MND Association.
MND is an horrific disease to which more funds are required for research to find a cure and to support sufferers and their families. Together we will find a cure. Please see link for further information on MND.

Being a huge Leeds Rhinos fan and seeing one of my heroes struck down with MND, watching how Rob and his family continue to endure this horrible disease in such a positive manner is truly inspiring.
