UPDATE:
Looks like a beautiful day in the photo! It doesn't show the wind or the rain round from earlier in the day...
Got to the finish in 3h38 minutes, a full 10 minutes faster than my previous best, so I'm really happy! Ran the whole way too so all in all a good race.
If you haven't yet donated you can do so up until the end of June so please do...
Another year, another Edinburgh marathon...
I'm running the marathon again for Amnesty International, a charity that continues stand up for humanity and against human rights abuses around the world. Amnesty's purpose is to protect individuals whenever they hear that their rights to justice, fairness and freedom have been curtailed. People such as Shi Tao, a Chinese prisoner sentenced to 10 year imprisonment for sending an email, or a group of protesters in Laos who have spent over a decade in prison after holding peaceful protests. Your donations would help cases like these, and many more.
As you can see from the photo, I should be fairly recognisable, with my name emblazened across my chest in bright pink! So anybody who makes it down to watch the marathon on Sunday the 22nd should be able to spot me without too much difficulty. To everyone that can't make it, your support in helping me raise £600 for Amnesty would be greatly appreciated.
