Hello friends,
It's not like me to ask for help but I need all of you to help with this one.
If you are not aware I suffered a stroke in February of last year and was lucky enough to survive, losing the use of my left side, fine motor skills proprioception (not knowing where my arm ,hand or leg was in space if not looking at it. After fantastic care at New Cross stroke ward, I was discharged to the aftercare teams, with  physios vising me daily for exercise and general rehab and torcher.  Finally, being passed over to the rehab and occupational therapy teams at West Park Hospital.

Whilst attending there as an outpatient  I was given so much care and support both physically and mentally. I also found out that a good friend of old has suffered a stroke and I’m sure some if not all of you know who this old Subway lad is.

I work for JLR and have had massive support and care from them on my phased return into the workplace along with constant support from the occupational therapy teams within the NHS.

The close-knit team I work with are aiming to complete the very hard challenge of the Three Peaks challenge which
must be completed in under 24hrs.
There is no way I would be able to complete this challenge as my stroke has left me with deficiencies, but I have gladly accepted the invite to be part of the team.                We are being supported by JLR with vehicles and we need support drivers,  (this is a challenge driving over a 1000 miles in 24 hours). To be part of the team as a support driver is a challenge but I feel honoured that they have asked me

The team are donating to three
charities ...Prostate cancer UK, Birmingham Children Hospital and my nominated charity Royal Wolverhampton NHS trust Charity /stroke ward and rehab.

So, my friends I ask if you can spare even a £ please be kind to donate.

Our challenge is being taken on the 19th August 2022

If you can’t then please just wish me luck.

As a footnote I'll add that good old friend of mine is Des McCurbin. Desi this is for you too

Thank you
