Story
Hi, thanks for stopping by to visit my JustGiving page.
The challenge is to do 100 5K Runs in 100 days starting on the 75th Anniversary of Victory in Europe (VE) Day on 9th May 2020, which honours another set of heroes who brought to an end the brutality of WW2.
At the minute, the world is battling COVID-19, and i am going to try to raise some funds as a thank you for those who are going into work in our hospitals, holding the hands of their patients, suffering unknown stress whilst wearing PPE (when they can get it) to try and keep us all safe and healthy.
I am father to two wonderful boys, and proud husband of a hard-working Nurse in the Royal Victoria Hospital, Belfast. We had booked our dream holiday to Disney World in July, but that now is looking increasingly unlikely - the plan was to complete this challenge at Universal Studios!!!
My wife and I are like many parents - working, schooling our children and trying to make the best of this crisis, and it's not easy. Hopefully charities such as NHS Charities Together can help NHS families who are finding it difficult to juggle all these things, and still care for patients as well.
I'll not be fast, and hopefully i can make it to the end.
Thanks
