Story
I have now decided to sign up to cycle from Geneva to Turin (via the alps!) for a charity ride in September - its 462KM (287 miles) over 4 days with 9000 metres of climbs (Everest is 8549m high by the way)...
I can't repeat the words that go through my head during the pain when i'm struggling up hills... but what i can tell you is i always say i'll never do it again.. Day 2 looks like a proper stinker, there will be a lot of swearing that day..
The route (Distance / Climbs)
Day 1: Geneva to Albertville - 119.1km / 1928m
Day 2: Albertville to Bourg d'Oisans - 132.8km / 3490m
Day 3: Bourg d'Oisans to Briancon - 83.9km / 2393m
Day 4: Briancon to Turin - 126.0km / 1712m
Just to be clear.. any money raised goes directly to the charity - it DOES NOT pay for my trip - all of the trip is self funded.
Mental health is (thankfully) getting more focus in this day and age, but we are still millions of miles away from understanding what it is, but most of us know the catastrophic effects it has on lives.
