Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

As most of you are already probably aware, our daughter Poppy has been a patient at GOSH since she was 1, she is now 11 years old. She has received excellent care and support during this time and during her 17 admissions to the hospital. She has had 12 general anaesthetics and numerous other procedures/ operations to help with her stomach and bowel problems. She is fed through a PEG 3 or 4 times a day, which is responsible for the majoirty of her daily calories, as well as taking 4 different types of medicines.

Mark and I have chosen to undertake the enormous task of running the London Marathon to help raise money for GOSH as our way of saying a massive THANK YOU for all they have done. The training will be very tough, especially through the winter months, but we believe the pain will be worth it.

Every donation helps Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity to provide the best facilities and equipment, research and develop new treatments, and support their remarkable patients and their families.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
