Story
For the third time I am taking on the National Forest Trek to raise funds for the National Memorial Arboretum, DMRC Benevolent Fund, and The National Forest.
I will be doing the full 75 miles of the National Forest Way from 9th to 11th September (and 1 or 2 day options are available if you fancy joining me).
This is a wonderful walk through the ever-changing National Forest and if you are able to support me with a donation then your contribution will be split across the three partner charities.
The National Memorial Arboretum is the UK’s year-round place of remembrance, an inspirational setting that is freely open to all.
The Defence Medical Rehabilitation Centre Benevolent Fund is a volunteer-run charity that provides funding to support holistic, occupational and social integration opportunities for serving military patients at DMRC Stanford Hall.
The National Forest is one of the boldest environmental regeneration projects in the world, and they are truly transforming a scarred landscape from black to green here in the heart of the country.
And … for added jeopardy … I am no-where near as well prepared for the trek this year as I was last year - all encouragement will be gratefully received.
