Story

3 days to go. If I'm not ready now I never will be.

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I'm taking part in the Prudential Ride London 100 mile cycle ride to keep Russell's memory alive and help people who live with autism to cope a little better.

Russells aspergers forced him  to battle to cope in a society that generally doesn't accept people who are "different". Fortunately his good friends saw Russ for the kind, witty, thoughtful person he was.

Autism/apsergers is little understood so people often see a person with these conditions as naughty or lacking discipline. We know that there is often a brilliant mind and wonderful person inside who is struggling to be understood.

Famous people who shared Russell's condition include Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton and Charles Darwin. We will never know what unleashed potential Russell had!

Russell made us proud by his achievements. His friends and ours made us proud by the tributes and support we received following his death and by donations made to the National Autistic Society last year.

This year I want to replicate the remembrance of Russell and his character, achievements and determination by fundraising for the Hull & East Riding Branch of NAS and I hope that you will join me by thinking of Russell and supporting my efforts.

Thank you

Mark & Dawn
