My dad was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis over 20 years ago. This incurable disease has meant that he has missed out on many things over that period.

However, the support that my dad, as well as all the family get from the Multiple Sclerosis Resource Centre (MSRC) is second to none.

MSRC provide support and information to anyone affected by Multiple Sclerosis, they provide a 24 hour, freephone, Telephone Counselling Service, operate an advisory service during office hours including access to MS Specialist Advisors, publish a magazine called New Pathways as well as a comprehensive and up-to-date website.

The London Marathon is their biggest fundraising event of the year and they are hoping to raise £250,000 which is around half of their annual income - so that gives you some idea of how important your donation will be.

So please support my London Marathon efforts! 26.2 miles may seem a long way and perhaps painful. But when I think of what my dad has to go through daily - it is like a walk in the park - something he can't actually do.
