Fundraising for Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team
Story
Since joining Teesdale and Weardale Search and Mountain Rescue Team in December 2016 we have provided much needed help to the community and emergency services.
The team helps search for missing people, some with dementia some with mental health problems. In some cases the news isn’t good and we have to recover a body but it allows family and friends to grieve and have closure.
We also support the ambulance service, wether that’s rescuing someone injured in remote areas or doing ambulance cover in adverse weather.
For the team to continue to help the community and potentially help you or your family and friends in the future we rely on kind donations from the public.
This year I’m running the Great North Run for the team. If you are able to sponsor me that would be great! I hope you never need the team but should you need them, day or night, rain or sunshine, we will be there!
