Im doing the Great North Run to raise money for Alzheimers.  I chose the charity because I see its affect every working day.  The young people I look after are kind to the old lady over the road who is suffering.  We have watched an assertive, community elder slowly struggle with litttle support.  

Alzheimer's disease is the most common cause of dementia, affecting around 465,000 people in the UK. The term 'dementia' describes a set of symptoms which can include loss of memory, mood changes, and problems with communication and reasoning
