Story
In June 2015 I was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukaemia. I had a full intensity stem cell transplant at The Christie. I received my brothers stem cells on the 17th September 2015. Six months later, I received every cancer patients worst night mare - 'it is coming back!'
It was considered terminal at this stage with 6 months to live. I am still here able to enjoy life!
The journey may not be over, but what I do know is that I have more life in me yet and so decided to be a shining light of hope and happiness to others in similar and challenging situations, enter and complete this event to raise money and awareness.
Perhaps the end is just the beginning!
The team at The Christie having been an integral part of the team that have helped me still be here today to enjoy my life, my family and what the future has to hold for us all.
I want to dedicate this event to the team at The Christie for all their expert guidance and support!
