We bring people and dogs together to make life possible in extraordinary ways

Story

Hello everyone,

I'm taking part in a challenging 5 day trek through the Arabian Desert in Jordan to raise funds to train puppies to become assistance dogs for people with disabilities.

I have first hand knowledge of the fantastic effect that assistance dogs can have on their owners as my father has been partnered with his dog, Daley, for some years now.  As Daley is getting on a bit now, he is soon to be retired.  So my dad needs a new dog to be trained for him.

It takes a huge amount of time, effort and money to train a dog from a young pup to a fully-fledged working animal, but the end result is truly amazing. Dogs for the Disabled are a much smaller organisation than other similar charities and there are many disabled people who can benefit from having an assistance dog.

This is a tremendous opportunity to raise funds for a brilliant charity. Please give what you can.

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Dogs For The Disabled will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Many thanks for your support.

Mark
