Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.

Last year Jamie and I took part in the worlds largest obstacle course, the "Rat Race" which involves 200 obstacles over a 20 mile course in the grounds of Burghley Castle. We ran, swam, climbed and dragged our weary bodies across the line in 6 hours & 2 mins.

After vowing never to try it again, we have somehow talked ourselves in to taking part again this year, on what is likely to be a more challenging course than last year (details for those that are interested : http://ratrace.com/dirtyweekend2016/ ) with the aim of beating our previous time and in the process raise money for the National Star College (http://www.nationalstar.org/), who are an amazing charity that I have been fortunate enough to get to know over the last few years. The work that they do is just incredible, providing an environment to allow children with disabilities to develop and grow, enjoy their independence and build friendships. We want to raise both awareness and funds, so any support would be greatly appreciated.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
