Story

Ladies and Gents, thanks for visiting Mark Jon Wylie's very own fundraising extravaganza page!! I've signed up for the Manchester 10K to raise some vital fundage for the Alzheimers Society. Its to help them to carry on with the research in diagnosis, treatments and probably the most dearest to me...the care of the patients having to live with the incurable disease on a day to day basis.

When a person with dementia finds that their mental abilities are declining, they often feel vulnerable and in need of reassurance and support. The people closest to them - including their carers, friends and family - need to do everything they can to help the person to retain their sense of identity and feelings of self-worth.

I know times are hard with money and everyone is cutting back but if you could just spare even 50p, it will make all the difference when it all tally's up...pennies make pounds peeps! For the challenge I plan to race the above event as quickly as humanly possible and wish to push myself to near breaking point for pace...I want to give those pesky Nigerians a run for their money, so for once in my life I'll use my youth, and relative low fitness level to try and make a difference to the lives of those that are a not as fortunate as myself.

Thanks for taking the time to read this and an extra thanks to those who are able to donate, its very much appreciated.

Wylie x
