Our church, Our Saviours in Naperville, IL, is in partnership with the Lutheran Church of Mozambique to support them in the amazing things that they are doing there in the areas of Advocacy, Hunger Issues and Education. As many of you know, my wife Vickie, has been very involved in this ministry (making a couple of trips to Africa with another one planned for next summer) and is focused on the educational issues facing the country. The Lutheran Church in Chimoio, Mozambique has responded to the educational needs of the children by opening their doors to the teachers and and children who want to attend. The support of this school is extremely important because it is currently led by volunteer teachers and there is no cost to the students. The money raised here will go directly to the school to support the teachers and programs. 

I am running the Naperville Half Marathon in October. I have done many races over the years but this one is special because I am dedicating to the education of these children. Both Vickie and I feel strongly that the education can make a significant difference in their lives. Your support is much appreciated. 

God is doing amazing things in Mozambique and it is an honor for us to walk beside them and support them.
