I've taken part in Walk the Wight 2012, and the chosen charity for the event is the Earl Mountbatten Hospice.

The walk crossed the island from Bembridge on the east coast to Alum Bay on the west coast, a route of about 26.6 miles. We started at about 7:30am, and finished at about 4:30pm, on a glorious sunny day - which resulted in me getting sunburn on one side of my face, much to Nic's amusement.

Any donations will be gratefully received, and as I've already completed the walk you're safe in the knowledge there's no way I can wuss out!
