We fund research and support to improve the lives of children with IBD

Story

This walk is in memory of my best friend Mark Speight  who had crohns disease and wore a IIeostomy bag for over 20 years. Sadly, the crohns eventually caused complications and developed over time into bowel cancer which sadly spread quickly throughout his body.

A bag can have a dramatic impact on your life and especially for children it can be very difficult to adjust too.   The thought of having a bag as a child must be difficult and there is currently no
known cure for crohns.

CICRA is committed solely to improving the lives of children and adolescents suffering from Crohn’s disease and Ulcerative colitis. We hope in time this research will help to bring forward the day when nobody will lose their bowel, especially the very young. CIRCA do fantastic work supporting children living with crohns & colitis

The most important part in Marks life was his family. His amazing daughters Alex & Olivia and lovely wife Tracey have suggested children’s charity CIRCA  and this is something Mark would have loved to support.

Walk starts mid-June 2022, please donate a few pounds if you can!! Thank you
