Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

On June 17th 2010, 15 of us are going to take on the 3 Peaks Challenge

For those of you who don't know what this is, basically we are going to climb the highest mountain in England, Scotland and Wales. To make this more of a challenge we have to do this in 24 hours!!

The itineray is as follows:

Thursday 17 June                    Travel to Fort William, Scotland with overnight stop at Carlisle

Friday 18 June                         5pm          Start Ben Nevis (1344m)

                                      10pm         Complete Ben Nevis

                                      Start drive to Scafell Pike

Saturday 19 June                    4am           Start Scafell Pike (978m)

                                      9am           Complete Scafell Pike

                                      Start drive to Snowdon

                                      1pm            Start Snowdon (1085m)

                                      5pm            Complete Snowdon

                                      5.01pm       Have a beer!!!!!!

                                      Elapsed “3 peaks” time = 24 hours!

I'm no mountaineer, but thought if Chris Moyles can climb Kilimanjaro then I can do this.

You'd have to be mad to do this for fun, so I'm going to do it for a good cause !!

I've decided to do this for HELP FOR HEROS

Quote from H4H website:

"Help for Heroes was founded by Bryn and Emma Parry in October 2007 out of a desire to help the wounded Servicemen and women returning from Afghanistan and Iraq. The message of the charity is simple: We are strictly non political and non critical; we simply want to help. We believe that anyone who volunteers to serve in time of war, knowing that they may risk all, is a hero. These are ordinary people doing extraordinary things and some of them are living with the consequences of their service for life. We may not be able to prevent our soldiers from being wounded, but together we can help them get better."

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
