Story

We all have loved ones and it’s hard to imagine anything
much worse than losing your memories, your character and your ability to
communicate. Everything that makes you, “you” I worry about how this might
affect my family and it made me think about what I could do help.
That’s why on the 22nd April 2018 I’m heading to London to run the London Marathon. I’ll be taking on this challenge in memory of all families and friends who have experienced the dreadful disease of Alzheimer’s and in support of all those people who provide support and care for someone affected by Alzheimer’s.

In 2016 me and a team of HSBC amateur runners got together
and formed #TeamWake. With an ambition of raising £100,000.00 across 3 years alongside the banks 3 year partnership with Alzheimer’s and getting a bit fitter along the way.

To date #TeamWake has raised a staggering £60K and consequently
requires a big push of £40k this year.

I have to admit I’m feeling some nerves about running my
first marathon but I’m focused on my plan and preparation for the big day. The only ingredient missing is you.

Please can you support in any way you can – large or small
