Velo South - 23rd September 2018

At the age of 54 and with myself having right sided Microtia with atresia, I have decided to raise as much money as possible for Microtia UK by cycling at the Velo South event - this is approx. 160 miles away.

Over 10 years I have clocked up over 50,000 miles in cycling. I have ridden many long distance events before - the longest being a 260 mile event in one day! I have also raced Time Trial's at distance ranging from 10 miles to 100 miles and competed in 6 12 hour events too!

I would like to see money raised go towards promoting awareness of Microtia - especially in Schools and General medical clinics as not many GP's seem to have much awareness or understanding. Money raised really helps to make a difference to the charity as Microtia is a rare condition - affecting approx. 1 in 6000 babies each year.
