Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This is the big one. Time to get serious.....

After discovering a love for running (in case there's anyone reading this that I hadn't told/ bored to death about it ..lol!) a little over 2 years ago, and having competing my first 5km run, I have now progressed nicely. Moving up and completing my first 10km, my first half marathon and (just last week) at the Shepperdine race, completing my first ever full Marathon race distance of 26.2 miles.

But now its time to take it to the next stage..... time to stop messing about and get serious......

In June this year I will be attempting to complete my first 'Ultra marathon'. This will involve completing 53 miles, along the beautiful South Downs way, straight through in one day.

Starting in Arundel and finishing on the steps of the stunning Winchester cathedral, this will undoubtedly be my biggest challenge yet.

I am under no illusion how hard and how much work this task will involve.

A huge incentive for me to complete this is to try to create some much needed charity fund raising along the way. Especially given the number of fund raising events that have been cancelled over the last year due to COVID.

As a very proud and thankful father of 2 (Henry and Rosalie), I am  fully aware of just how important Family is. As my granddad used to say "Family, is everything".

There are so many families out there, less fortunate than others and who require the support and help to deal with their own personal situations.

One such charity who help here and who I am constantly in awe of the work they do, is the Children's Hospice South West. Providing hospice care for children with life-limiting conditions and their whole family. Respite and short breaks, emergency care, palliative care and end of life care at three wonderful children's hospices; Little Bridge House in Devon, Charlton Farm in Somerset and Little Harbour in Cornwall. The work these guys do, simply put, is incredible.

Therefore I have decided to run in aid of this charity.

Any donation, no matter how big or how small that you would like to make would be hugely appreciated and would go some way to ensuring this brilliant charity work and support can continue.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

Thank you all for taking the time to read this and if you can donate then it would be hugely appreciated.

Much love. You're all amazing xxx
