Story

Hi,

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Myself and another family member are taking on the 2012 Great North Run in memory of my uncle, Martin Tyler, who sadly passed away last year after suffering with a rare form of Encephalitis.

Martin had Voltage Gated Potassium Channel (VGKC) Antibodies Encephalitis, however Encephalitis is a group of diseases about which little is known.

In at least half of the cases of Encephalitis, they do not know the cause; and accurate information on both the causes and the true incidence of Encephalitis in the UK is not available and is urgently needed.

We are therefore running in order to raise as much money as possible which will support further research into this disease, increased awareness and support to other families and patients.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer.

Many thanks and please dig deep as every penny helps!
