Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I have foolishly entered the Reading Half Marathon again this year. I will pounding the streets of the town and hopefully crossing the finish line - either running, walking or crawling – at the Madejski Stadium, on Sunday April 1.
I will be running in aid of Naomi House. For those that don’t know, it is a children’s hospice near Winchester, who do fantastic work with life limited young children and teenagers. They provide care to families in Hampshire, Berkshire, Dorset, Wiltshire, Surrey and Sussex. It costs some £5 million a year to run, of which only about 10% comes from government funding. For the rest, they rely on donations from local businesses and fundraising through charitable events. As a father of three healthy young children, I hope I will never need the services of NH but I would like try and raise just a little of what they need.
I know there are many calls for your support, from many different worthwhile charities – and here is mine! Please visit my (webpage) and donate what you can. All amounts will be gratefully received and help spur me on to complete the race. Most importantly, it will go towards providing the specialist care for terminally ill children in the South of England.
Many thanks for your support, Mark.
