Story
Hi all,
For those of you that know me will be fully aware that I don't do any form of cardio and get out of breath even running up the stairs - so a 650 mile bike round through France seemed the obvious choice to spend a week of my last ever summer before working in the "real world" begins...
So all that I am asking is that you give as much as you can spare (even if it's a couple of quid) in making my exhausting trek through France a little more worthwhile.
Also, some of you may be aware that one of our family friends, and a close friend of ours, Glenn, was recently diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma (hence the charity) so it really is a worthy cause and something that I would REALLY appreciate ... no matter how little the donation.
... and if you needed any more of a reason to donate, I will be uploading photos of the trip once it's (hopefully) completed in which i'll be sporting a nice, tight set of lycra shorts ... WINNER!
Enough of begging ... dig deep and donate now :)
Mark
Mark and I will be aiming to do the full 650 miles from Normandy to the Pyrenees in seven days starting on Sunday 1st July. The training is now all but over and the pain about to begin...
Myeloma is a horrible disease but one where rapid advances may now be possible in treatment and survival rates due to recent advances in genetics. Myeloma UK is the only charity that is dedicated to Myeloma treatment and research and support of Myeloma sufferers, and your donation really will make a difference in the fight against this disease.
So please spare a pound or two or ten and it will make Mark and I feel a lot better when we cant sit for a week...
Thanks
Martin
