Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
For those who don’t know me, my name is Mark stringer and I am the store manager at Co-op foods in wickford Essex, and the little fella next to me is my 6?year old son Rafe!!
Rafe, like his dad is a massive football fan, and supports West Ham United FC (I couldn’t let him support Dagenham and Redbridge like me!) and he has come up with a brilliant idea, to try and visit EVERY PREMIER LEAGUE STADIUM within 48 hours!!! For a young lad I’m sure this will be both be a great experience and a quite tiring one as well - but he wants to try and do some good whilst we have a bit of fun doing this.
Co-ops charity of the year for 2020 is the wonderful charity ‘MIND’ which does amazing work within the world of mental health. We will all suffer from some form of mental health at some point in our lives, and seeing this around me as I was growing up, you feel that it’s almost like an unspoken thing, with nowhere to turn. By supporting MIND, we can help break this stigma.
We plan to start this adventure on Saturday 12th September at the restart of the premier league season 2020/21 with an overnight stay in Newcastle before making our way south on the Saturday morning. Our route is
DAY 1 Saturday 12th September
NEWCASTLE UNITED
LEEDS UNITED
SHEFFIELD UNITED
BURNLEY
MANCHESTER UNITED
MANCHESTER CITY
LIVERPOOL
EVERTON
WOLVES
WEST BROM
ASTON VILLA
Day 2 Sunday 13th September
LEICESTER CITY
SOUTHAMPTON
BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION
CRYSTAL PALACE
FULHAM
CHELSEA
ARSENAL
TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR
WEST HAM UNITED / MIND STRATFORD
Our plan is to engage the clubs and hopefully pick up some donations from them along the way and donate them to MIND at their HQ to raise some more money for them at some point.
We would love for you to donate as much or as little as you can we would be extremely grateful for anything.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
All the best
Rafe and Mark Stringer
