Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I lost both my Mum and Nan to cancer within 2 years of each other. My Mum was just 52 when she died. The care and support the MacMillan nurses gave Mum enabled her to live out her final months comfortably at home surrounded by her family, and this is my way to say thank you for that.
Those of you who know me well will also know that this will be a huge personal challenge for me as well. My spine is fused in both my neck and lower back (makes airport security interesting I can tell you) and its been two years now since my surgery. I am happy to say that after 4 years of pain and suffering I am fit an well and ready to challenge myself. Now I can't run a marathon because of the impact and strain the would put on my back, but I can walk one! So that is what I am going to do.
22 miles of the some of the most spectacular coastline in the UK, and I'm going to try to enjoy every inch of it.
I hope you will sponsor me whatever amount you can as this is for a very worthy cause.
Wish me luck!
