Story
I am running the South Downs Way 100 miles race in memory of my brother Daniel and to raise funds for the Mental Health Foundation.
I believe we are at best when we are finding our purpose in challenging our limits. This run will definitely do that . The idea is to have fun for the first 12 hours and then just survive the next 12!
Like so many of us, my life has been profoundly shaped by times of struggle with my own mental health and the consequences of poor mental health for those I love. Losing my bro was a shattering blow and the work of the Foundation is committed to finding better answers to how to prevent mental health problems and I am really proud of the work it is doing.
Read more about my motivations for taking this on here: Why am I running a 100mile race? Please give generously.
Thank you so much!
Mark
PS All donations will go to supporting the Foundation's work to prevent poor mental health through our research, policy, public information and community programmes, especially for those at greater risk. Thank you so much for your support!
