Story
Lesley and I are cycling from London to Paris (with the help of a ferry from Newhaven to Dieppe!) over three days from 26th - 28th May. We are doing this to raise money for the Stroke Association in memory of Tina, a nurse that Lesley worked with, who tragically died last year of a stroke aged 53. Her death came as a great shock as she was fit and a very keen tennis player. She left behind two loving daughters, Katie and Lucy, and husband Richard, and together they have organised this cycling "Saddle for Stroke" ride to Paris for those who knew Tina.
Lesley and I have been doing lots of training rides on the beautiful lanes of Surrey, Hampshire and West Sussex. Once we reach the top of a steep hill the words "Saddle for Stroke" seem ominously real!
We have set up identical JustGiving pages and aim to raise as much as we can for all the marvellous work done by the Stroke Association with research, post stroke recovery and advice.
