Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Cancer is an evil mistress - I've never forgiven her for taking my Dad away in 1986. Since then many of my friends have been kissed gently on the forehead by her terrible lips.
So, as Kathryn (my good wife), will be expecting me to clear off for a few days come August, I thought this year I'll cycle to Edinburgh, and see if I can't raise a few quid for Cancer Research en-route. Cancer Research happens to be my employer's charity of the year, so for every quid you donate Tesco will add a little more; every little helps.
My excursion(exertion) this year will be the latest bearing the legend, 'too old, too fat', which are annual events starting with walks across Hadrian's Wall and then the South Downs, then in 2010 taking to my bike to travel to Paris. Last year, older and fatter, I cycled the Camino in north-west Spain, and now I shall ride the long road north to Edinburgh. My route equates to 350miles over 5 days, unless I get lost of course, in which case I might still be wandering around the Borders in November.
