Story
Thank you for taking the time to visit and support my Just Giving page. It is very much appreciated.
Alzheimer's is a terrible disease that effects the lives of millions of individuals, families and friends. There is no known cure and it is on a staggering increase. Funding is limited and continued research is needed to fight this incurable and horrific disease.
My dad, Stan, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and humble friend to so many, suffered terribly for several years in a most unpleasant way, just like millions of others do so now and will continue to do so.
Please help me, and let us fight this disease and beat it like we are doing so well to fight other diseases like Cancer.
I am going to consume my life with tough training sessions and many events throughout the year, culminating in one of the toughest Triathlons on the global calendar - Ironman Wales to be held in Tenby, South Wales on 18th September 2016.
Please help me to raise money for a great cause to fight a terrible disease.
Amongst 19 events, I am competing in Reading Half Marathon; Brighton Marathon; Cotswold 113 Middle Distance Triathlon (1/2 ironman distance); Wales Long Course Weekend (over 3 days: 2.4mile swim, 112mile bike, marathon); Cotswold Classic Middle Distance Triathlon (1/2 ironman distance); Ironman Wales (in 17 hours: 2.4mile swim, 112mile bike, marathon)
I would like to raise money throughout the year as Vodafone will match fund £350 / quarter. So please give generously throughout the year.
Thank you so much, very appreciated. Mark xx
