Story

Mark Paterson, is going to be running the London Marathon, to raise funds for me (Sarah Wadsworth) to be able to go to Nepal, to work with street children as part of a BMS action team.

More Information about the London Marathon

The London Marathon is a road marathon that has been held each year in London since 1981, usually in April. The race is currently sponsored by Virgin Money, as the Virgin London Marathon. The 2010 London Marathon will be held on Sunday 25 April.

The London Marathon is one of the top five international marathons run over the traditional distance of 42.195 km (26 miles and 385 yards).

More Information about BMS Action Team

My name is Sarah Wadsworth and I am one of four people making up a Baptist Missionary Society (BMS) Action Team in Nepal for 6 months, October 2010 to March 2011.  The team of four girls, will be based in Pokhara, which is the 3rd largest city in Nepal. I am likely to be involved in schools: taking assemblies, running activities and teaching in classes, also working in the INF (International Nepal Fellowship) Hospital called Green Pastures, which is next door to the school, as well as getting involved with local Churches and forming relationships with local people.  After our time abroad the Team will spend eight weeks in Britain, giving talks to young people in schools, youth groups and churches about what we have been involved in.

In order to join the Team I have to raise £5,000 to cover everything I will need for my time in Nepal and for the eight weeks in Britain so any help you can give will be much appreciated. Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page and thank you very much for your support.

BMS cannot link all the money that comes from this site to individual projects as they already receive money through it for their general funds. Therefore as a member of Larkhall Baptist Church, the money will be collected through them and then sent onto BMS as a cheque with the proper paper work to ensure it goes into BMS Nepal - Sarah Wadsworth account.
