At the end of 2013 I became a trustee of Henshaws Society for the Blind with a view to making a difference.

Henshaws is a wonderful charity that has helped and improved many peoples lives. The charity not only supports those who are visually impaired in many ways, but helps their families too.

As soon as I joined I wanted to set a challenge for myself to raise money, and a triathlon seemed a good place to start........... The biggest challenge for me has been learning to swim!!

So while a 750m swim may not appear a big challenge, for someone who could not swim 20m 5 months ago I am still a bit nervous......and it's in a lake!

While you can't help everyone, everyone can help someone - and your donation will do just that.
