Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
We're all affected by Cancer at some point in our lives, whether it is a relative or the relative of a close friend or an acquaintance. Cancer however is something that we naturally associate with the generations above us in life and not necessarily the people still growing up around us. Sadly seven 13-24 year olds in the UK are diagnosed with cancer every day, equivalent to our friends, siblings, nieces and nephews rather than our Grandparents. They need specialist help not only with treatment but also support in helping them deal with the emotional impact of cancer diagnosis at such a young age.
Teenage Cancer Trust offer amazing help and support to young sufferers, with specialist units and a policy of ‘young person first, cancer patient second’ they help minimise the amount of a person’s youth is stolen away from them by cancer. I am taking part in a Firewalk event on the 08/11/2013 and I am raising money for this great case. If you can spare a few pound please donate by texting NORD85 + your donation to 70070 (e.g. NORD85 £2) or by clicking Donate.
