On 15th May 2011 my colleagues John Laing and John Kerr and I are competing in the Caledonia Etape http://www.etapecaledonia.co.uk/ an 81 mile cycling event in Perthshire.  As well as enjoying the scenery and pushingour bodies to their physical limits we aim to raise money for Police Treatment Centres in the UK.

The Police Treatment Centres are not a well known charity but are a very worthy cause!

Both John's are amongst our fully committed boys in blue and my work in HM Inspectorate of Constabulary over the past year has brought home to me the great work these guys do serving our communities.  The Police Treatment Centres help thousands of police officers every year and both John's have a lot to thank them for treating injuries and greatly speeding up their return to work.
