Story

Hi All,

You may be aware (or not) that both Ann-Marie and myself have been doing BSL (British sign language) in the evening.  NESS are a locally run charity who help those with sensory loss.  They assist in achieving independence for blind and deaf people.

More information can be found on https://www.nesensoryservices.org

The BRAVEHEART Traithlon is an event in my home town of Fort William and is a huge step up from my usual type of events. In the past I have raised money for cancer research, breast cancer now and you have all dug deep and given generously to the causes which have been my focus. I hope to raise as much money for NESS as possible as I appreciate how much every penny counts.

More information on the event can be found at https://www.bravehearttri.com

The training for such an Epic event has been tough and has not been been without injury, pain and patience of others who know how much this means.  I have put in hours and hours of swimming back and forth and back and forth to increase my weakest sport.  Cycling and running is something which I find much easier but is by far where you can be injured most.  When you add all three sports together I.e 1.2 mile open water swim, 56 mile cycle ending with a half marathon that involves getting to the top of highest point in the UK YES Ben Nevis........you begin to understand how tough this challenge will be.

All the money donated will go towards NESS, I have paid for entering the event, I am doing the training.  All I ask is that you donate as much as you can to help my chosen local charity NESS.
