Story
Someone is diagnosed with diabetes every three minutes. As a diabetic myself, I am very aware of the challenges that this condition can pose. I am also very aware of the importance of raising awareness and understanding of diabetes and how important it is that people with diabetes are given information and support. Diabetes UK provide this information and support for people with diabetes across the country. Not only that, but they are funding research into how to make diabetes easier to live with and ultimately (hopefully) provide a cure for this chronic condition and the complications that come with it.
In September 2015, I will be running the Great North Run to raise money for Diabetes UK. This almost 22 km run is a great personal challenge, especially for me as someone with diabetes myself. As such, I am asking for people to sponsor me in this event and every penny you donate will go to Diabetes UK in order to further the fantastic work they do.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
You can also sponsor me by texting MRKD95 £5 to 70070 (or £1,2,3,4,5,10 if preferred).
