Since my diagnosis of Type 1 Diabetes in April 2021, life has changed. Things I used to take for granted such as going out for a run, popping out for lunch etc now take a certain degree of planning.  Sometimes my body just says 'not today'.  But I am not letting diabetes control my life.

I have realised that with proper diet, exercise and effective blood glucose management using technology, I can still pursue my dreams and be the athlete I always wanted to be. So I decided to take on Hyrox, a gruelling athletic competition that challenges even the toughest athletes out there.

Diabetes UK has been fantastic in supporting me, and I hope to inspire others going through similar challenges to not give up and to reach out for help.
