Story
I am riding the St Crispins Day Night Ride (Twin saints martyred in 286 AD) on Sunday 25th October starting a midnight. The ride of 100 miles goes around the City of London, out to Buckinghamshire, and then returns to London.
This is a daunting task but I would love to have some encouragement by collecting sponsorship for the Chichester charity Children on the Edge. Some Chichester churches have agreed to help fund the operation of tent schools in Lebanon for Syrian refugees.
Children on the Edge, are supporting the running of three tent schools which provide quality child-friendly education for 300 children. The teachers come from within the Syrian refugee community. This creates a sense of ownership of the project throughout the community and provides vital livelihood opportunities.
Their Lebanese partner, Mercy Foundation, currently
provides health clinics, supplies and tent schools for Syrian refugee children
in three camps.
