Story
I last ran the London Marathon 25 years ago in aid of Muscular Dystrophy and decided to give it another go and managed to get a place in this years event. I am again running in aid of the Muscular Dystrophy charity due to the support they have provided our family over a number of years. One of our daughter’s at the age of 5 was first diagnosed with a rare form of muscular dystrophy which was later identified as Bethlem Myopathy. Following years of research a diagnosis can now be made within months rather than our experience of years. Progress can only be made through funding and dedicated research. We hope that one day there will be a cure so are pleased to do what we can for this charity.
Muscular Dystrophy UK is the charity for the 110,000 children and adults living with muscle-wasting conditions in the UK. There's currently no cure, and in many cases, it limits lives. MDUK do vital work in funding pioneering research into treatments and cures as well as providing vital information, advice, resources and support for individuals and families living with these conditions.
Thank you for your support. All donations, big or small, are greatly appreciated.
