Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
I've signed on to do a gruelling 300-mile, 24-hour ride for charity, in advance of the annual IBC trade show in Amsterdam. Myself and about a dozen other riders will be taxing ourselves to our limits to raise funds for Vision Charity, a TV industry charity that gives blind and visually impaired children a better chance to succeed in life. The event has a fundraising target of £100,000, combining rider sponsorship and corporate donations.
This cause is noble----funding projects that allow blind and visually impaired children to do things they might not otherwise be able to do, and thus expand their lives. 20 years ago I was the ‘captain’ on a tandem (2 seater) bike for a blind ‘stoker’ who had not ridden a bike in years. He was thrilled to experience that bit of self-made speed again and I never forgot that. If more people can have experiences like that I’d be happy ...
Now for the bit & pieces: Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please donate now-----any amount will help.
And special thanks to the event organisers, especially Ciaran Doran of Harris Broadcast.
