Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Yes its true I have committed to the Stop Tober - Zero Alchohol Challenge to raise funding to support the Hop, Skip and Jump Foundation - "CARE IN THE HIGH STREET" campaign who have a care centre in Wigan, those of you who know me I'm sure will have also met my very special nephew "Alex" who once met is never forgotten.
Alex is a very special and fun loving person who at only ten years has had more than his fair share of issues to overcome to have they quality of life he currently enjoys.
Alex has complex needs and receives the majority of his care from his family and family friends, however Alex really enjoys his time spent at the Hop, Skip and Jump Centre in Wigan where he gets to meet and interact with a wide diversity of others with complex needs and the specialist carers at the centre.
I have been inspired to undertake this personal challenge of Stop October (Zero Alcohol) to support the very special people who provide care for "Alex", to help to enrich his life.
I won't pretend and say its been easy because it hasn't, however I'm very
happy to have received so many kind words and encoragement along with the very generous sponsorhip and donations to date.
"Don't worry it's not to late to donate to this very worthy cause and all donnations I'm sure will be gratefully received by the Hop, Skip and Jump Foundation"
I could obviously have done with out the supportive comments such as "Do you want a pint" and "I bet its killing you" and also the classic one from louise"this Gin's lovely you should try it", however thats all behind me and it day 25 (not as though I'm counting) and I am now focusing on the next challenge - "Mo-Vember"
